Lithium Appoints Amy Lewis as Senior Vice President of Sales

Nov. 13, 2007
EMERYVILLE, Calif. – November 13, 2007 – Lithium Technologies, the leader in on-demand communities for enterprise customer support, today announced the appointment of Amy Lewis as the company’s senior vice president (SVP) of worldwide sales. Lewis brings to Lithium more than 20 years of leadership experience in enterprise software sales, services, business development, and channels. Lewis most recently served as SVP for ClearApp, Laszlo Systems, Wily Technology, and Allaire.

“Amy has proven repeatedly that she can build a high performing sales operation,” said Lyle Fong, CEO of Lithium Technologies. “What impressed us most is her commitment to the customer once the sale is secured. With our SaaS model, Lithium succeeds financially when our customers succeed with our products, and Amy’s record of building lasting relationships with customers and partners demonstrates that she embraces this philosophy.”

Lewis has enjoyed tremendous success building sales organizations and growing revenues for young technology companies. As SVP of worldwide field operations for Wily Technology (acquired by CA), she was responsible for increasing sales from $4 million to $24 million in two years. As SVP of worldwide sales for Allaire Corporation (now part of Adobe), Lewis expanded the sales team from five people to over 200, developed a partner organization with more than 2,200 resellers and consultants, and grew revenue from $10 million to $120 million in four years. She also held senior sales management roles at Claris (FileMaker), Apple, and Farallon Computing (Netopia).

“My experience at companies like Apple and Allaire taught me that passionate customers are an invaluable business asset,” said Lewis. “That’s the genius of Lithium. Companies are finally recognizing that their own customers can help them provide better and more cost effective customer support, and that online communities are the best way to make that happen. At Lithium, we’ve got a great base of customers already benefiting from our products and community management experience, and an expert team. I look forward to playing a key role in our business expansion.”
