Ron Rasmussen

VP of Engineering

As the Vice President of Engineering, Ron oversees core development and delivery of Lithium's enterprise social media platform. He brings to the company over 20-years of experience in software engineering and product development leadership in SaaS, web applications, enterprise applications, and systems software.

Prior to joining Lithium, Ron was CTO and VP of Engineering at KnowNow - one of the early entrants to the Enterprise 2.0 market - where he defined product and technology strategy and led multi-site engineering in the successful development and release of innovative, multi-tier, web-based enterprise software products. He has also held executive and senior engineering positions for Digital Impact, SCO, and Hewlett-Packard.

Ron holds a B.A. in Computer Science and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

A. I was involved early as both a supporter of and participant in computer language and then UNIX newsgroups and bulletin boards starting the mid 1980's thru the 90's while at HP and SCO.

A. I am presently an active user of LinkedIn, visit the Lenovo and AT&T WIreless forums as needed as a customer, and use MySpace to keep in touch with my nephews and nieces and Facebook for friends and colleagues.
